Plant foods are loaded with nutrient density, especially fruits, leafy greens, vegetables, sprouts, and nuts and seeds. Studies have shown that pregnant and nursing moms who eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables are passing on valuable nutrients to their babies as well as the taste for these healthy foods for the rest of their lives.
In research journals such as the Pediatric Journal and the Journal of Public Health Nursing, articles have shown that the taste of fruits and vegetables goes into the amniotic fluid and into mother’s milk…with the result that the child will love fruits and vegetables for the rest of his or her life.
